1. What are the pool rules?

1. All swimmers must check in at the front desk with their membership cards or picture of their membership card. There is no pool entrance from the side gates.
2. Children under the age of 11 years must be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent, guardian, or if authorized by a parent/guardian, another individual of 15 years of age or older, while using the Clubhouse or Pool.
3. Swimming any time where a lifeguard is not on duty is at the swimmer's sole risk. Lifeguards will not be on duty when temperatures are lower than 65 degrees.
4. All users must take a cleansing shower before entering the pool. Showering after using the pool is recommended.
5. Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times. Street clothing (basketball shorts, jean/denim materials, cargo shorts) undergarments, sports bras, or similar attire is prohibited in the pool White t-shirts or tank-tops are permitted in the pool if worn over appropriate swim attire. Pool staff will make the final determination if swimwear is appropriate. Nudity is strictly prohibited.
6. Non-swimmers must be accompanied by a swimmer in the water and be within an arm's reach at all times.
7. Glass containers are prohibited in the pool and pool areas.
8. Food and beverages are permitted on the pool deck. Food and beverages are not permitted in the pool.
9. Users who are ill, have experienced vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours, have open sores, or ear/nasal discharge should not use the pool.
10. Swim diapers must be worn by all incontinent swimmers.
11. Horseplay, running, diving into the pool, and hanging/swinging/pulling on aquatic equipment or features is prohibited. Repeat violators will be asked to leave the pool.
12. Lane lines, stairs, and railings are installed to assist and guide pool users. Standing, hanging from, or sitting on these items is prohibited.
13. When lap lanes are present, those areas are for lap swimming and water walking only.
14. During busy times, lap swimmers may be asked to share lanes, circle swim, or limit swim time to ensure all have an opportunity to use the facilities.
15. The pool deck is reserved for walking, safety, and emergency purposes. No obstruction of any kind will be permitted in this area.
16. Inflatable pool toys, flotation aids, or similar items are only allowed under the following conditions:
    1. Only transparent, circular inflatables no larger than 42 inches in diameter, infant inflatables, water wings with an attached chest piece, and pool noodles are permitted in the pool.
    2. Mesh infant inflatables may be no larger than 33 inches by 38 inches.
    3. Pool mattresses or other inflatables are prohibited.
    4. Users with noncompliant inflatables or flotation devices will be asked to remove them from the pool.
17. Personal sound equipment, such as stereos or wireless speakers, are permitted as long as they do not disrupt others' enjoyment of the pool. If any complaints are received, Users will be asked to turn down their music, use headphones, or upon repeated complaint, asked to turn off the device or leave the pool.
18. The pool must be cleared during thunder and lightning storms or other inclement weather events that present danger to Users. The pool will be cleared if lightning strikes within 10 miles of the pool, or at the discretion of Clubhouse or Pool Staff. All users must follow staff directions and safety instructions. Staff will determine when it is safe to reopen the pool.
19. Chemicals are used to ensure a sanitary and safe water environment. Conditions are tested and documented on a regular basis. If unacceptable conditions occur, including a vomiting or fecal event, staff will determine if the pool must be closed to preserve the health, safety, and well-being of all users.
20. Chemicals used in the pool may damage swimwear. CAB is not responsible for any such damage.
21. CAB furniture in the pool area shall not be removed. Users may bring additional, portable lounge chairs, umbrellas, or other similar items to the pool area, provided they do not present a safety concern or unreasonably interfere with others' use and enjoyment of the pool as determined by staff.

2. What are the hours of operation?

Monday-Friday:

• 5:00a - 7:00a Lap Swim
• 7:00a - 9:00a: Pool CLOSED for cleaning, maintenance.
• 9:00a - 8:45p: Open Swim (Lifeguards on duty 11:00a - 8:45p)
• School back in session: Lifeguard hours 4:00p - 8:45p

Saturday:

• 9:00a - 7:45p (Lifeguards on duty 9:00a - 7:45p)

Sunday:

• 9:00a - 7:45p (Lifeguards on duty 9:00a - 7:45p)

3. Will swim lessons be offered?

Yes! The clubhouse lifeguard vendor will offer private swim lessons throughout the Summer. Each session days, times, and pricing will be coordinated directly through the vendor. Private swim lesson sign-ups will available on a first-come-first-served basis subject to instructor availability.

4. Can I bring a guest to the pool?

Yes! Each household receives 25 guest passes each calendar year linked to your CIVICREC account. 

Each CAB Resident household is permitted up to six (6) guests per day. If the Clubhouse and Pool is not at capacity, additional guests beyond six (6) will be permitted for a fee of $5.00 per guest.  CAB Residents are encouraged to call and verify capacity before arrival.      Guests MUST be accompanied by the CAB Resident providing the guest passes at all times during their use of Clubhouse and Pool facilities. If guests are not accompanied by the resident, they will be asked to leave. When you arrive with your guests, please indicate the number of guest and we will deduct the passes from your account.

5. Can a caregiver take my kids to the pool?

You can purchase a caregiver pass for $300.00 for the calendar year, listing up to four names to use the caregiver pass. ID will be required to use the pass and the individual must be with those they are giving care for. Only one person can use the caregiver pass at a time.

6. What is the capacity of the pool?

169 individuals are permitted at one time.

7. Will lap swim be available?

Yes, each morning, Monday through Friday from 5:00a -7:00a is reserved for lap swim. We will also have at least one lap lane available during open swim times.

8. Can I reserve the pool for a party?

Unfortunately, the pool is not available for rental. There are other great spaces at the Overlook to reserve for private parties!

9. Are reservations required?

No. On April 16, 2021, Douglas County opted out of the Tri-County Health public order, thus allowing all businesses to operate at 100% capacity. A maximum of 169 people will be permitted at the pool at one time, according to the building fire code.
