Clubs & Groups
The Resident Services team is excited to welcome clubs and groups to meet in the Overlook Clubhouse and Sterling Center! Clubs and groups are a great way for residents with similar interests to get together to enjoy activities and hobbies. The clubhouse is a beautiful facility that offers many opportunities for gatherings of different types.
If you are interested in starting a club or have already started a club, contact the Lifestyle Director for more information.
Current Clubs & Groups
Calling all readers! Join the Sterling Ranch book club every month at the Overlook Clubhouse. The last Thursday of every month from 7:00-9:00pm, book lovers enjoy getting together once a month to discuss the book selected and to meet new people in the neighborhood. Stay social with club members on Facebook! Contact resident Jenny Huettl (email@example.com) if you would like to join or learn more.
Boomer Bunco Club
Boomer Bunco is a group of fun-loving empty nesters, nearly or already retired women eager to meet new neighbors. Meeting once a month on the 1st Thursday from 1:00-3:30pm at the Overlook Clubhouse.
Bunco is a game generally played with 12 players, divided into groups of four, trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a series of six rounds. A Bunco is achieved when a person rolls three-of-a-kind and all three numbers match the round number. It’s a social game that requires only luck to win. No strategy and no talent needed. Contact resident Ilene Shulman (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to join.
Join fellow runners 2x a week runs around the neighborhood or Highline Canal trail during the winter. Once there are extended sunlight hours, the club will likely have one run a week at Waterton Canyon. Please bring a headlamp to see any obstacles in the neighborhood. All levels welcomed and happy to pair up with abilities. Run distance and challenge will vary on the preference of the group. Can do relays, hill repeats, or just straight runs. Stay social with club members on Facebook! Contact residents, Suzanne Collins (email@example.com) and Matt Collins (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information!
Meeting Times: Wednesday's at 5:45pm at the Sterling Center Parking Lot
Join your neighbors for a monthly hike! The club usually picks trails within 30 minutes of the community. Planned hikes are posted in the Facebook group and meet at the Sterling Center to caravan to the hike. Club members can also meet the group at the trailhead. All hikes are family-friendly and of moderate intensity. Stay social with club members on Facebook!
Stay social with other moms in Sterling Ranch! The Facebook group is a great opportunity to meet other moms. Connect with other moms in the neighborhood, sell kids items, set up playdates, and get advice. Stay social with club members on Facebook!
Do you love to play games? Join other game night lovers for Farkle Club! This game of dice and risk-taking is a fun group activity for all skill levels. The club will meet on the second Monday of every month from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Great Hall at the Overlook Clubhouse. If you are interested in joining, please contact Susan Vasquez (email@example.com)
